The Weatherby Orion 20-gauge side-by-side shotgun brings genuine field versatility and classic handling to hunters and clay shooters who refuse to compromise. Built on the platform of a trusted design, this 20GA delivers the downrange performance you need for upland birds and wingshooting—whether you're working high-plains coveys or stepping into the competition clay course. The 28-inch barrels cut a balanced profile, swinging with the smooth predictability that matters when the shot window closes fast.

Weatherby equipped the Orion SxS with touches that honor shotgun tradition: Grade A walnut furniture with an oil finish, a matte-blue receiver that wears like a workhorse, and a long tang trigger guard housing the dual triggers you control. The straight English stock geometry and slim forend feel refined in your hands without feeling fragile. Double triggers mean you select which barrel fires first—a real advantage for adjusting choke or shot pattern between shots. An ambidextrous top-tang safety suits either-handed shooters, and the brass bead front sight rides a swamp rib for a clean sight picture in any light.

The 20-gauge format keeps recoil reasonable and handling lively, making an all-day hunting grind feel less like punishment. Chrome-lined bores add longevity if you're running steel shot for waterfowl or shooting clay reloads. Five choke tubes—IM, Full, Mod, IC, and C—let you tailor the pattern to your hunt or match, and the 3-inch chambers handle modern 20GA loads across the spectrum.

Can I shoot 3-inch loads in this 20-gauge?

Yes. The Orion is chambered for 3-inch 20-gauge cartridges, so you have flexibility with modern ammunition across the velocity and payload spectrum.

Is the safety ambidextrous?

Yes. The top-tang safety can be operated from either side, accommodating left- and right-handed shooters equally.
