The Weatherby Mark V Apex Left-Handed .257 Wby Mag is a purpose-built long-range hunting rifle that combines the legendary Mark V steel action with modern lightweight engineering. Chambered in .257 Weatherby Magnum with a 28-inch barrel, this left-handed rifle delivers the accuracy and power hunters demand while keeping overall weight manageable—critical for backcountry hunters and anyone who covers serious ground in pursuit of game. Built on decades of Weatherby's action refinement, the Mark V Apex brings genuine innovation to the field without sacrificing the reliability that made the platform iconic.

What sets the Apex apart is the Peak 44 Bastion stock: a vertical-grip carbon fiber design tipping the scales at just 23 ounces. The ambidextrous palm swell and pronounced thumb groove encourage consistent form whether you're shooting prone at the range or from field positions when it matters. Dual swivel studs on the forend give you mounting flexibility for your preferred shooting system. The fluted, two-tone cerakoted barrel isn't just for looks—it sheds weight and enhances heat management during extended shooting sessions.

Recoil management on a magnum rifle is no afterthought here. The 3DHEX recoil pad uses 3D-printed construction with interlocking voids that progressively collapse, stretching the recoil impulse and reducing felt kick significantly. Paired with Weatherby's Accubrake ST—featuring 30 symmetrically-spaced ports—the combination tames the .257 Wby Mag's recoil while keeping the report in check. The bolt body's spiral fluting trims weight and smooths operation, a detail that pays dividends in the field when reliability counts.

The finish package reflects serious intent: fluted barrel in Coyote Tan and Graphite Black cerakote, Coyote Tan receiver and trigger guard, and Graphite Black bolt and safety. The exposed carbon fiber stock with tan and brown accents strikes a balance between hunter-class durability and visual refinement. This is a rifle built to hunt hard terrain and hit distant targets—for left-handed shooters who won't settle for a compromise.
