The Weatherby 307 Builders Action is a short-action rifle component engineered for custom gunbuilders and rifle enthusiasts who want to start with a battle-tested foundation. Weatherby's first new action design in over 50 years, the Model 307 was built from the ground up to accept the wide array of aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, mounts, and bottom metals available in today's market—giving you real flexibility when assembling your ideal rifle. If you're building a precision rifle, hunting gun, or range shooter, this action provides the platform to do it right.

The 2-lug bolt design features a convenient tool-less takedown, so you can field-strip and clean your rifle without fumbling for a wrench. That practical engineering reflects Weatherby's 75+ years of precision gunmaking. The short action profile keeps weight down and profile trim, especially useful in mountain hunting rigs or when you're trying to keep overall length manageable. The bolt throw is a quick 90-degree rotation, reducing the arc you need for follow-up shots or working the action in tight positions.

Everything comes finished in hard-wearing graphite black Cerakote on the bolt and knob—corrosion-resistant and ready for the field or the bench. The standard bolt face (.470" diameter) handles common short-action cartridges and works with standard .880\" long tenons threaded 1-1/16\"-16. Magazine box length of 2.97\" aligns with typical short-action feeding, so you'll have plenty of magazine and bottom-metal options to complete your build. This is the action for builders who refuse to compromise on foundation or flexibility.
