The Tristar Arms Setter S/T is a 28 gauge over/under shotgun built for hunters and clay shooters who value balance, handling, and a smooth trigger experience. With its 28-inch barrels and 2.75-inch chamber, this compact gauge delivers the recoil-friendly performance that makes 28 gauge ideal for upland hunting, skeet, and all-day clay work without sacrificing effective range or pattern performance. The single selective trigger lets you choose which barrel fires first—a practical feature that gives you control over your shot sequence.

Built on a Turkish walnut stock with high-gloss finish, the Setter S/T carries classic shotgun lines with understated elegance. The engraved receiver adds visual character without pretense, and the ventilated top and mid ribs help manage recoil and provide a stable sight picture. A fiber optic front sight gives you a bright aiming reference in variable light—useful whether you're working a field at dawn or moving through an afternoon clay course. Chrome-lined barrels and chamber resist corrosion and extend barrel life, a practical detail for guns that see regular use.

Choke versatility comes standard: five Beretta-style choke tubes (SK, IC, M, IM, F) ship with the gun, so you can tune your pattern and shot string to the distance and game you're hunting. Extractors eject spent shells for reliable, quick reloads. The 28 gauge Setter S/T is a genuine all-purpose gun—nimble enough for driven birds and open enough for clay targets, with the refined handling that defines modern small-gauge shotguns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Tristar Setter S/T a good shotgun for upland hunting?

Yes. The 28-inch barrels and 28 gauge combination make it a natural fit for upland work. The 2.75-inch chamber handles standard loads efficiently, and the single selective trigger lets you manage your shot sequence in the field. The compact handling and light recoil are particularly valuable on all-day hunts.

What choke tubes come with this shotgun?

Five Beretta-style choke tubes are included: SK (Skeet), IC (Improved Cylinder), M (Modified), IM (Improved Modified), and F (Full). This range covers everything from close-flushing birds to longer-range work and clay target shooting.

Can I use this shotgun for clay shooting?

Absolutely. The fiber optic sight, ventilated ribs, single selective trigger, and included choke tube selection make the Setter S/T a capable clay gun. The 28 gauge and 2.75-inch chamber are recognized formats for competitive and casual clay sports.

What is a single selective trigger?

A single selective trigger fires only one barrel per pull, and you can choose which barrel (top or bottom) fires first by operating a selector mechanism. This gives you control over your shot sequence and simplifies trigger operation compared to dual triggers.
