The Taylors & Company Drifter 5.5" .45 LC revolver brings authentic single-action appeal to shooters who appreciate classic cowboy aesthetics without compromise. Built on a modern cattleman frame, this revolver channels the spirit of old-school Western firearms while delivering the reliability demanded by serious shooters and history enthusiasts. The octagonal barrel—a signature feature that sets the Drifter apart from standard cattleman models—gives the gun a distinctly period-correct profile that catches the eye whether you're range shooting, hunting, or collecting traditional revolvers.

Chambered in .45 LC with a 6-round capacity, the Drifter handles the full spectrum of .45 Colt loads, from modest target rounds to stout hunting ammunition. The walnut grips feel right in hand and age well with use, while the case-hardened frame paired with blue finish creates a timelessly attractive two-tone look that's both practical and handsome. Whether you're drawn to the romance of single-action revolvers or you need a capable .45 that won't break the bank, this gun delivers genuine character and function.

The fixed front blade sight and rear frame notch keep things simple and reliable—no electronics, no adjustments to fiddle with. Taylors & Company's forged frames ensure solid construction, and Taylor Tuning is available for shooters who want a refined trigger pull. At 2.50 lbs and 11.10" overall, the Drifter points naturally and carries comfortably, whether you're spending a day at the range or taking it afield.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this revolver suitable for hunting or just range shooting?

The Drifter in .45 LC is versatile enough for both range work and hunting. The octagonal barrel, solid construction, and 5.5" length make it capable of handling hunting loads, though you'll want to select ammunition appropriate to your game and distance.

What's included with the revolver, and do I need anything else to shoot it?

The product record provided doesn't specify what accessories are included. We recommend contacting us directly for details on what comes in the box and any additional items (holsters, cleaning tools, etc.) you may want.

Can I get the trigger tuned on this revolver?

Yes. Taylors & Company offers Taylor Tuning on the Drifter model, which refines and smooths the trigger pull for a more polished shooting experience.

How does the octagonal barrel affect performance or handling compared to a standard round barrel?

The octagonal barrel is primarily a styling choice that gives the revolver its classic, period-correct appearance. It's the signature feature that distinguishes the Drifter from standard cattleman revolvers and appeals to shooters who value traditional single-action aesthetics.
