The Taylors & Co Drifter is a .357 Mag single-action revolver built for shooters who appreciate classic Western design without compromise. Chambered in .357 Magnum with a 5.5-inch octagonal barrel, this revolver bridges the gap between historical authenticity and modern reliability—ideal for hunting, sport shooting, or anyone drawn to traditional single-action revolvers with genuine character. The octagonal barrel is the signature detail that sets the Drifter apart: it catches light the way old-time cowboy guns did, giving the revolver unmistakable period appeal while maintaining the strength and accuracy you need for serious use.

Built on Taylors' modern Cattleman frame and finished with a rich blue barrel and case-hardened frame, the Drifter balances aesthetics with durability. The walnut grips feel substantial and period-correct in hand. Like all true single-action designs, it features a fixed blade front sight and rear frame notch, keeping the sight picture simple and reliable. At 2.50 lbs and 11.10 inches overall, it's a comfortable carry and handling revolver whether you're on the range or in the field.

Taylors & Co offers Taylor Tuning on the Drifter, so if you want to refine the trigger or action further, that option is available. This is a purpose-built revolver for shooters who know what they want: honest .357 Magnum power, old-school mechanics, and the kind of gun that looks as good as it performs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Drifter different from other .357 Magnum single-action revolvers?

The octagonal barrel is the key distinguishing feature. It gives the Drifter a distinctive classic look that stands out from modern Cattleman variants, while maintaining the proven strength and handling of Taylors' Cattleman platform.

Can I use .38 Special in the Drifter?

The Drifter is chambered in .357 Magnum. While .357-chambered revolvers will safely fire .38 Special ammunition, always consult the manufacturer and verify compatibility with your specific firearm before shooting any ammunition.

Is Taylor Tuning included, or is it an upgrade?

Taylor Tuning is available as an option on the Drifter—it is not included as standard. This service allows you to refine the trigger and action to your preference.

What's the sight system like on this revolver?

The Drifter features fixed iron sights: a blade front sight and a notch rear sight built into the frame. This is consistent with traditional single-action revolver design and is simple, reliable, and period-appropriate.
