Is this single-action revolver safe for Cowboy Action Shooting?
The 1873 Cattleman is a traditional single-action platform widely used in Cowboy Action Shooting. Its 6-round capacity, .45 LC caliber, and blade sight are all standard for the sport. Check your match rules, but this gun is built for that use case.
What does photo engraving mean on this revolver?
Photo engraving is a fine-detail etching process that creates decorative patterns on the receiver. It gives this Cattleman a finished, distinctive appearance compared to plain models—adding character without affecting function.

Yes. At 11 inches overall and 2.30 lbs, the 1873 Cattleman is sized and weighted to carry in a standard revolver holster. It's a working gun, not a display piece.
