The Taurus Raging Hunter 6.75" .357 Mag/.38 Spl +P revolver in black oxide finish is a large-frame, seven-shot wheelgun engineered for hunters who need reliable stopping power at medium range. Built on a DA/SA action with a transfer bar safety, this revolver pairs raw capability with shooter-friendly ergonomics—a combination that earned it the 2019 American Hunter Handgun of the Year Golden Bullseye Award. Whether you're hunting hog, coyote, or just pushing steel at the range, the Raging Hunter delivers the kind of performance and durability serious hunters expect from Taurus.

The 6.75" barrel gives you velocity and sight radius without creating an unwieldy package. Taurus engineered the barrel with an angular design that reduces overall weight, and added factory-tuned porting and a gas expansion chamber to minimize muzzle lift—meaning faster, more controlled shot recovery. That matters when you're in the field and need to stay on target. The fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight are purpose-built for hunting distances, and the cushioned insert grips soak up recoil while keeping your grip secure in real-world conditions.

At 53 oz and 12.25" overall length, the Raging Hunter sits in that sweet spot between shootability and portability. The black oxide finish is both aesthetically clean and a practical choice for the hunting environment. This revolver accepts .357 Magnum loads or .38 Special +P ammunition, giving you flexibility to match your load to your game and conditions.
