The Taurus G3C is a compact 9mm striker-fired pistol built for shooters who need reliable personal defense without compromising on shootability or affordability. Drawing on years of G-series performance in the field, the G3C distills what works into a frame that's genuinely pocketable—6.3 inches overall and just over 22 ounces—while keeping the ergonomics and controls you'd expect from a full-size duty gun. Whether you're building your first carry rig or adding a dependable backup to your rotation, the G3C delivers the balance of power and practicality that working shooters demand.

The action is single-action with a restrike capability, paired with a manual safety, trigger safety, and loaded chamber indicator so you always know where you stand. Fixed front and drift-adjustable rear sights mean you can zero it for your preferred distance and carry setup. The compact frame houses a 10-round magazine, keeping the gun slim enough for strong inside-the-waistband or appendix carry while still giving you meaningful round count for self-defense scenarios. At 3.2 inches, the barrel is long enough to generate solid velocity from 9mm while contributing to the gun's overall balance and handling.

Taurus built the G3C to run—simple, proven mechanics, minimal complexity, and a track record in the G-series line that spans thousands of armed citizens and professionals. This isn't cutting-edge; it's a straightforward tool that works when it matters, priced so that quality personal defense doesn't demand a second mortgage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Taurus G3C good for concealed carry?

Yes. At 6.3 inches long, 1.2 inches wide, and 22 ounces, the G3C is designed specifically for EDC and personal defense carry. Its compact frame makes it comfortable for inside-the-waistband or appendix carry, and the 10-round capacity gives you meaningful firepower without printing heavily.

What safeties does the G3C have?

The G3C includes a manual safety, trigger safety, and loaded chamber indicator. There's also a striker block mechanism. These features work together to prevent accidental discharge while keeping the gun ready for immediate use when you need it.

Can I adjust the sights on the G3C?

The rear sight is drift-adjustable, so you can zero it for your carry distance or preferred point of aim. The front sight is fixed. This setup is durable and reliable for self-defense use while still allowing field adjustment if needed.

What's the trigger action like?

The G3C uses a single-action striker-fired trigger with restrike capability. This means clean, predictable breaks and the ability to re-cock the striker if needed—no need to cycle the action or take your finger off the trigger. The single-action design supports fast, repeatable shots.
