The Taurus G2S 9mm sub-compact pistol is built for shooters who need a reliable, carry-ready defensive handgun without sacrificing shootability. With its compact 3.25-inch barrel and just-under-five-inch overall height, the G2S tucks easily into an IWB holster, jacket pocket, or vehicle safe—yet its polymer grip and proven striker-fire action give you the control and confidence of a full-size duty gun in a package that weighs 21.2 ounces unloaded. The combination of a matte stainless steel slide and black polymer grip keeps weight down while resisting corrosion, making this a solid choice for concealed carry, truck guns, or anyone looking for no-frills everyday protection.
The G2S ships with two magazines, each holding six rounds of 9mm—not a lot of ammo on board, but the single-action striker system with manual safety and restrike capability means every round counts. The fixed white-dot front sight pairs with an adjustable white-dot rear, letting you dial in your point of aim quickly and make fine adjustments on the range. Trigger pull runs 5–9 pounds, heavy enough to prevent accidental discharge but light enough to avoid a sloppy press when it counts.
This is a no-nonsense pistol: no rails, no fancy ergonomics, no marketing hype. It does one job—reliable, affordable personal defense—and does it well. If you're shopping for a backup gun, a first pistol, or just something dependable that won't break the bank, the G2S deserves serious consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Taurus G2S a good concealed carry gun?
Yes. At 6.25 inches long, just over 5 inches tall, and weighing 21.2 ounces unloaded, the G2S is designed for discrete everyday carry. Its slim profile and low mass make it easy to conceal in an IWB holster, pocket holster, or ankle rig without printing or dragging your pants down.
What comes in the box?
The G2S ships with two 6-round magazines, giving you capacity options for carry or practice.
Can I adjust the sights?
The front sight is fixed, but the rear sight is adjustable, so you can dial in your zero on the range or make windage and elevation corrections as needed.
How does the safety work?
The G2S features a manual safety that must be disengaged before firing. The striker-fired action also includes restrike capability, meaning you can fire again if the primer fails without racking the slide.
