The Taurus 92 9mm pistol in black is a full-size, hammer-fired DA/SA handgun built for shooters who want a proven platform at a practical price point. With an 8.5-inch overall length and a 5-inch barrel, the 92 delivers the ergonomics and sight radius you'd expect from a service-size 9mm—whether you're training at the range, carrying for personal defense, or running drills. The 17+1 round capacity means plenty of ammunition on board, and the smooth trigger breaks cleanly in either double-action or single-action mode.
Built around a large frame, the Taurus 92 balances controllability with substantial mass; at 34 ounces, it absorbs recoil and settles quickly between shots. The checkered rubber grips provide a secure, non-slip hold even during extended sessions, and the fixed front sight with single dot keeps your focus downrange. Multiple safety features—firing pin block, hammer decocker, and manual safety—give you control over the gun's readiness and handling.
The 9mm Luger chambering remains the most practical and economical choice for centerfire pistol training and defensive use. With a 1-in-9.84-inch twist rate and 6 grooves (right-hand), the Taurus 92 shoots accurate, consistent groups. This is a straightforward, reliable handgun for anyone building a 9mm collection or looking for a traditional DA/SA platform that doesn't ask you to spend premium dollars.
