The Taurus 905 is a compact 9mm revolver built for shooters who want a reliable, lightweight wheelgun for concealed carry, backup duty, or casual range work. At 22.2 ounces with a 2-inch barrel and overall length of 6.5 inches, this small-frame stainless steel revolver fits comfortably inside a waistband holster or ankle rig without the bulk of a service-sized cylinder. Five rounds of 9mm capacity is modest but practical for a snub-nose platform, and the stainless finish resists corrosion in all weather.
Like most modern Taurus revolvers, the 905 features their Security System transfer bar—a passive safety mechanism that prevents the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is deliberately pressed. The DA/SA action gives you the security of double-action carry with the option to cock the hammer for a lighter, more precise single-action shot if you choose. Fixed sights keep things simple, and the smooth trigger is straightforward to learn.
Rubber grips provide a decent purchase in wet conditions, and the revolver's compact footprint makes it an honest backup gun or deep-concealment option for those who prioritize simplicity and ruggedness over round count. The 1:9.5 rate of twist with six grooves is tuned for standard 9mm ammunition. This is a no-frills workhorse—exactly what many shooters want in a snub revolver.
