The Taurus 905 9mm revolver is a compact, dependable wheelgun chambered for 9mm ammunition—a practical choice for shooters who want revolver simplicity paired with common handgun ammo. This blue-finished model features a 2" barrel, making it genuinely pocket-sized and ideal for deep concealment, backup carry, or home defense where handling speed and reliability matter more than capacity. Built on Taurus's proven revolver platform, the 905 delivers the mechanical integrity and trigger control that wheelgun enthusiasts trust, without the learning curve of semi-auto ergonomics.

The 2" barrel keeps the gun light and maneuverable—you're not carrying dead weight—while still delivering meaningful velocity from 9mm. Blue finish is classic, durable, and easier to maintain than stainless in the field. Whether you're a revolver purist, a backup gun builder, or someone who simply prefers the DA/SA trigger and mechanical reliability of a revolver, the 905 offers genuine utility at a realistic price point.

This is not a target gun. It's a workhorse: built for carry, built to run, built for shooters who value function over features. Pair it with quality 9mm rounds, practice your fundamentals, and you've got a platform that will serve you well for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Taurus 905 9mm a good backup or concealed carry revolver?

Yes. The 2" barrel and compact frame make it well-suited for deep concealment and backup carry roles. Its wheelgun mechanics and double-action trigger offer reliability and simplicity in a minimal package.

What makes a 9mm revolver different from a .38 Special or .357 Magnum revolver?

The 905 chambers standard 9mm ammunition, which is affordable, widely available, and lets you share ammo with 9mm semi-automatics. It's a practical middle ground for shooters who want revolver reliability without the cost premium of magnum rounds.
