The Stevens 334 bolt-action rifle in 30-06 Springfield is a no-nonsense hunting rifle built for hunters who value reliability and straight-shooting performance over unnecessary features. The classic 22-inch barrel strikes a balance between velocity and handling—short enough to maneuver through brush and timber, long enough to deliver the 30-06's signature energy downrange. Paired with a traditional walnut stock, this rifle carries the aesthetic and feel of a proven hunting tool without the premium price tag that keeps serious hunters on a budget.

The Stevens 334 is chambered in 30-06 Springfield, one of the most versatile and widely available rifle cartridges in America. Whether you're hunting whitetail in the East, mule deer in the West, or anything in between, the .30-06 delivers the accuracy and stopping power you need. Its proven track record spans over a century, and ammunition availability means you're never scrambling at the last minute before opening day.

Walnut furniture adds a timeless look and solid feel in your hands—this is a rifle that looks like it belongs in the field. The bolt-action design is inherently reliable, mechanically simple, and accurate: there's no argument with how a turn-bolt rifle performs when everything counts. If you're searching for a straightforward, capable hunting rifle without gadgets or modern polymer, the Stevens 334 delivers honest performance at a price that makes sense for working hunters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Stevens 334 a good rifle for deer hunting?

Yes. The 30-06 Springfield is a proven deer cartridge with more than enough power and accuracy for whitetail and mule deer at typical hunting ranges. The 22-inch barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable in brushy terrain while maintaining the velocity the .30-06 is known for.

What kind of hunting is the Stevens 334 suited for?

The Stevens 334 works across multiple hunting scenarios: whitetail and mule deer, black bear, and other medium to large game where a 30-06 is appropriate. The bolt-action design and walnut stock mark it as a traditional hunting rifle rather than a target or specialty platform.

What comes with the Stevens 334 Bolt Action Rifle?

The rifle ships as described: bolt-action mechanism, 22-inch barrel, and walnut stock. Check with your retailer for current package details and any included accessories.

Does the Stevens 334 accept standard 30-06 ammunition?

Yes. The Stevens 334 is chambered in 30-06 Springfield, which uses standard .308-diameter bullets and 30-06 brass and powder specifications available from all major ammunition manufacturers.
