Serrated Stainless Steel

The SCCY Industries CPX-4 Gen 3 is a compact .380 ACP pistol built for shooters who want a practical, reliable option for everyday carry or range work without breaking the bank. At just 15 ounces with a 2.96-inch barrel, it's small enough to pocket or appendix carry but substantial enough to handle real shooting. The stainless steel slide paired with a polymer frame keeps weight down while the double-action-only trigger design—no manual safety to manipulate under stress—suits defensive carry. This Gen 3 version brings refinements that make it a solid choice in a crowded field of budget-friendly carry pistols.

What sets the CPX-4 apart is SCCY's Roebuck Quadlock system, which manages recoil and lockup in a way that punches above its price class. The trigger breaks at 9 pounds with a consistent press throughout—predictable, not hair-trigger—and the G-43 style sights give you a modern sight picture right out of the box. The 10-round magazine (plus one in the chamber) gives you solid capacity for a gun this size, and the external safety adds a layer of security if that's important to your carry method.

The CPX-4 Gen 3 appeals to new shooters, budget-conscious carriers, and anyone looking for a no-frills, hard-use .380 that doesn't demand constant gunsmith visits. It's not a race gun, and it doesn't pretend to be. It's a straightforward carry piece that shows up, does its job, and costs less than most competitors in the category.
