The SCCY Industries CPX-4 .380 ACP pistol is a compact, double-action-only carry gun built for shooters who want reliable protection without complication. At 5.7 inches long and under a pound, this stainless steel and blue polymer pistol fits easily into a holster or bag, making it a practical choice for everyday carry, backup duty, or range time. The CPX-4 brings SCCY's Roebuck Quadlock recoil system and a true DAO trigger to a package that doesn't demand deep pockets or months of searching.

The 2.96-inch barrel delivers standard .380 ballistics in a frame that won't fatigue your hand during extended shooting sessions. Ten rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber give you reasonable capacity for a micro-compact pistol, and the external safety adds a mechanical layer between you and an unintended discharge. With a 9-pound trigger pull, the DAO action is straightforward and consistent—the same press every time, with no safety lever to manipulate under stress. The G-43 style sights are basic but functional, and if you need faster target acquisition, a red-dot-ready version is available separately.

This isn't a gun that begs for customization or puts on airs. It's built to run, stays out of the way, and costs less than you'd expect for a US-made carry pistol. Whether you're shopping for your first .380, a deep-concealment backup, or a no-fuss range beater, the CPX-4 deserves a close look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CPX-4 a good everyday carry pistol?

Yes. At 15 ounces and 5.7 inches long, it's small and light enough for pocket, ankle, or appendix carry without printing noticeably. The DAO trigger and external safety make it safe to carry loaded, and the stainless slide won't rust if you carry it in an untreated leather holster. The .380 ACP round is less powerful than 9mm, but it's a proven self-defense caliber, and 10+1 capacity gives you a reasonable margin.

What does the Roebuck Quadlock technology do?

The Roebuck Quadlock is SCCY's recoil management system. It's engineered to manage recoil impulse and improve reliability in a compact frame. You'll notice the difference when you fire it—recoil is manageable even for shooters with less hand strength.

Can I mount a red dot sight on this pistol?

The standard CPX-4 comes with G-43 style iron sights, which are built into the slide. SCCY manufactures a red-dot-ready variant of the CPX-4 separately; check with us to confirm availability if you want slide-cut compatibility with red-dot optics.

How many rounds come loaded, and what is the capacity?

The magazine holds 10 rounds. With one round chambered, you carry 10+1 total. The firearm ships unloaded and without loaded magazines.
