The Rossi R95 Triple Black is a lever-action rifle built for hunters and shooters who want a modern take on a classic platform. Chambered in .30-30 Winchester with a compact 16.5" barrel, this rifle delivers the stopping power and reliability that have made the .30-30 a favorite among deer hunters for generations—now with contemporary features like a threaded muzzle and factory optics mounting. At 6.7 pounds, it handles like an extension of your arm in thick brush or from a stand, and the 5-round capacity gives you enough follow-up shots without excessive weight.

The "Triple Black" name describes the rifle's all-business aesthetic: black oxide finish on both barrel and frame, paired with a wood stock wrapped at the large lever loop with paracord for secure, comfortable handling during rapid fire. That paracord isn't cosmetic—it's a nod to practical field use. The 5/8x24-threaded muzzle meets modern suppressor standards, and the top-mounted Picatinny rail accepts any standard optic mount, so you can set up glass or keep iron sights as your preference demands.

Sighting options include a drift-adjustable front sight and a peep-hole rear sight on the Picatinny rail, giving traditional hunters and modern shooters alike a workable baseline out of the box. A thumb safety sits in an intuitive location for quick operation. The 1:12 right-hand twist and 6-groove barrel are spec'd for .30-30 ballistics, and the overall length of 35.5 inches keeps the rifle nimble in vehicles and tree stands. Whether you're chasing whitetail in the East, hog hunting in brush country, or just want a reliable lever gun that won't break the bank, the R95 Triple Black punches above its weight class.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mount a scope or red dot on the Rossi R95 Triple Black?

Yes. The rifle ships with a factory Picatinny rail on top, so any standard optic mount will fit. Whether you choose a traditional scope, a modern red dot, or backup iron sights, the rail is ready to go.

Is this rifle suppressor-ready?

Yes. The 16.5" barrel is threaded 5/8x24, which is the standard pitch for most .30-30 suppressors currently on the market. You'll need to verify your specific suppressor's compatibility, but the common threading makes pairing straightforward.

What's included with the rifle?

The R95 Triple Black comes with the rifle, a thumb safety, drift-adjustable front sight, and peep-hole rear sight mounted on the Picatinny rail. No scope, suppressor, or additional accessories are included.

Is the .30-30 Winchester a good hunting cartridge?

The .30-30 has been a go-to for deer and hog hunters for over a century. It delivers reliable stopping power at typical hunting ranges (50–150 yards), manageable recoil, and excellent accuracy in a light, fast-handling lever-action platform like the R95.
