The Remington 783 in .270 Winchester is a modern bolt-action rifle built for hunters who want genuine accuracy without the premium price tag. This rifle combines Remington's six decades of bolt-action engineering into a fresh platform designed specifically for field hunters. The .270 Winchester is one of the most versatile big-game cartridges in North America—plenty of velocity for extended range, flat-shooting enough for varied terrain, and effective on everything from whitetail to elk. The 22" barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling in thick country or open ground.

What sets the 783 apart is the attention to tuning details. The CrossFire trigger is user-adjustable, so you can dial in the exact break that works for your shooting style and rifle control. The synthetic stock is pillar-bedded for consistency, and it wears Kryptek Highlander camo—a pattern that works across multiple environments without looking theatrical. Recoil management comes from a Supercell pad that actually absorbs energy rather than just looking the part. The detachable steel magazine holds four rounds of .270, giving you practical capacity without unnecessary weight.

This rifle ships with scope mounts ready to go, and it'll also accept Remington Model 700 front bases if you want to swap or upgrade. Sling mounts are standard. The 783 is built to work—not to sit in a safe. It's the kind of rifle that'll run reliably through seasons of hunting, from early-season archery support rifle duty to late-season sits when conditions get real.
