The Remington 700 CDL is a bolt-action rifle built on one of the most proven and respected receivers in American hunting. Chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum, this rifle brings serious power to long-range hunts and delivers the flat trajectory and energy needed for larger game at distance. The 26-inch barrel maximizes velocity and sight radius, while the blued finish gives it a classic, durable appearance that works equally well on a ranch or in the backcountry. If you're shopping for a rifle that combines Remington's reputation for accuracy and reliability with the proven performance of the .300 Wby Mag, this CDL is worth a hard look.

The Remington 700 has earned its place as a go-to platform for hunters, shooters, and gunsmiths for decades. The CDL (Classic Deluxe) version refines that legacy with a fit and feel that appeals to hunters who value both tradition and performance. The .300 Weatherby Magnum is a magnum caliber that punches well above its weight—it delivers substantial energy downrange and has a loyal following among serious hunters who need stopping power and range. With a 26-inch barrel, you're getting the full velocity potential of the cartridge, which translates to flatter shooting and retained energy at distance.

Whether you're planning a hunt for elk, moose, or other big game at distance, or you simply want a rifle with the accuracy and ergonomics the 700 platform is known for, the CDL in .300 Wby Mag is a capable, time-tested choice. The blued finish is classic, durable, and refined—it's a rifle that looks and feels like it means business.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the .300 Weatherby Magnum caliber good for?

The .300 Weatherby Magnum is a high-velocity magnum cartridge well-suited for long-range hunting of large game, including elk, moose, and other species where flat trajectory and retained energy at distance are advantages. It's a proven, widely available magnum round with a strong following among long-range hunters.

Is the Remington 700 platform popular for hunting and shooting?

Yes. The Remington 700 bolt-action receiver is one of the most widely used and respected rifle platforms in North America. It's known for accuracy, reliability, and a strong aftermarket support ecosystem, making it a favorite among hunters, target shooters, and gunsmiths.

What does the 26-inch barrel contribute to performance?

A 26-inch barrel maximizes the velocity potential of the .300 Weatherby Magnum cartridge. It also extends sight radius, which can improve accuracy for shooters using open sights or lower-magnification optics. The longer barrel helps achieve the ballistic performance the cartridge is designed for.
