The Remington 700 CDL in .30-06 Springfield is a classic bolt-action rifle that's earned its place in truck beds and gun safes across North America. This 24-inch barreled version delivers the accuracy and reliability that made the 700 platform synonymous with precision hunting. Built on Remington's legendary controlled-round-feed action, the CDL (Classic Deluxe) combines traditional ergonomics with the kind of fit and finish that reminds you why American walnut and stainless steel never go out of style. Whether you're glassing for elk in the high country or setting up for a whitetail season, this rifle gives you the foundation to make ethical, confident shots.

The .30-06 Springfield remains the gold standard for North American big game—flat enough for deer and antelope at distance, powerful enough for elk and moose at reasonable range. Its century-plus of proven ballistics means ammunition is never hard to find, and reloaders have endless load data at hand. At 7.5 pounds with a 24-inch tube, the CDL splits the difference between manageability and sight radius, making it equally at home in tighter timber or open country. The satin American walnut stock and stainless 416 steel barrel aren't just pretty; they're practical choices for hunters who need rifles that resist corrosion and handle the elements without fussy maintenance.

With a 1:10 twist and a 4-round magazine capacity, this rifle is spec'd to shoot modern .30-06 factory loads and handloads reliably. The 1.125-inch drop at comb and 1.375-inch drop at heel are classic dimensions that work well with traditional scope mounting or iron sights—plenty of hunters still prefer it that way. Remington's bolt-lift and safety design is crisp and intuitive, and the trigger breaks clean out of the box. At 44.5 inches overall, it's not a short rifle, but that extra reach pays off on distant shots.
