The Remington 700 .308 Win is the workhorse of American rifle shooting—trusted by hunters, long-range shooters, and precision competitors for decades. This bolt-action rifle in .308 Winchester pairs a 22-inch barrel with a modern platform engineered for accuracy and reliability. Model R68892 builds on the legendary 700 foundation with a host of upgrades that reflect what serious shooters actually need: a clean, purposeful design that gets out of the way and lets good ammunition and solid technique do the work.

The heart of this rifle is its round receiver with a fluted 5R barrel and precision-ground recoil lugs—features that minimize vibration and support consistent bullet placement. The bolt itself is a one-piece spiral fluted design with a changeable bolt handle, making it easy to configure for your preferred mount or carry style. Field stripping is straightforward thanks to the tool-less firing pin disassembly, so you can clean without hunting for a punch or screwdriver. An 11-degree target crown protects the muzzle and supports accuracy right out of the box.

The trigger is a crisp 3 lb. Elite Hunter Timney straight trigger—clean and predictable, whether you're dialing in at the range or making a shot that matters. Your stock is an AG composite carbon fiber unit with a Pachmayr recoil pad, so you get a lightweight, durable platform that won't swell or rot in the field. The enlarged ejection port and left-side bolt release keep the action smooth and intuitive. Picatinny rail scope mounts are ready to accept standard 8-40 thread screws, and the rifle ships with a longer internal magazine box to handle modern cartridge dimensions.

Whether you're building a dependable hunting rifle, setting up a precision range gun, or adding to an already-proven system, the 700 .308 Win is a no-nonsense choice that rewards good shooting.
