The RDI RAK47-P is a 7.62x39mm semi-automatic rifle built on a platform inspired by classic AK design, engineered for shooters who want compact, hard-use performance without the tax stamp. At 36.25 inches overall with a side-folding metal stock and pinned faux suppressor, this rifle delivers the Krink profile in a legal, ready-to-shoot package. Whether you're running drills at the range, hunting medium game, or adding a modern 7.62x39 to your safe, the RAK47-P splits the difference between maneuverability and capability—no NFA paperwork required.
Riley Defense built this rifle on battle-proven architecture: a fully heat-treated mil-spec stamped receiver, forged trunnion, forged bolt, and chrome-lined piston carrier lay down the foundation. The 8.5-inch 4150 nitride barrel is threaded 24×1.5 RH and rated for the round's proven ballistics, while the gas block and front sight combo keep things simple and robust. A hinged dust cover, bolt hold-open safety lever, extended magazine release, and machined scope mount rail show attention to the details that matter in the field.
The ergonomics favor shooters who value control: a serrated upper handguard gives you a solid purchase in any weather, the lower handguard includes a stainless steel heat shield to manage barrel temp, and the tactical pistol grip lets you index naturally. The 30-round magazine capacity means fewer reloads between strings. Black oxide finish resists corrosion, and the semi-automatic closed-bolt action ensures consistent trigger behavior and reliability you can count on.
