The Pietta 1873 GW II Posse 9mm revolver brings classic single-action styling to a modern, practical caliber. Built on the proven Great Western II platform, this 3.5" barrel revolver splits the difference between the compact Sheriff model and full-size variants, making it equally at home on the range, in a sport shooting match, or as a working sidearm. The 9mm chambering gives shooters affordable, readily available ammunition and manageable recoil without sacrificing the charm and mechanical simplicity of a traditional Colt-style single action.
What sets the Posse apart from other GW II versions is the functional ejector rod assembly with a pivoting head—a detail that matters in real use. The ejector rod housing features a small cutaway that lets the rod-head swing slightly to the side, so you can remove the base pin for cleaning and maintenance without disassembling the entire ejector mechanism. That's the kind of thoughtful engineering that separates a gun you'll actually want to shoot from one that collects dust. The color case hardened frame gives it authentic visual character while the walnut grip rounds out a gun that's as pleasant to look at as it is to shoot.
Six-round capacity, traditional single-action trigger, and dead-simple manual of arms make the Posse accessible to newcomers and appealing to shooters who appreciate minimalist design. Whether you're interested in Cowboy Action competition, casual plinking, or just want a straightforward revolver without the complexity of modern firearms, this one delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the GW II Posse and the Sheriff model?

Is 9mm a practical choice for a single-action revolver?
Yes. The 9mm chambering offers shooters affordable, commonly available ammunition and manageable recoil while maintaining the mechanical simplicity and reliability of a traditional single-action design. It's well-suited for range work, sport shooting, and general use.
What's included with the revolver?
The facts provided specify only what comes on the gun itself—frame, barrel, grip, and ejector rod assembly. For details on any additional items, accessories, or documentation included in the box, contact Bosque Outdoors directly.
Who is this revolver good for?
The GW II Posse appeals to Cowboy Action shooters, single-action enthusiasts, sport shooters, and anyone who wants a straightforward, low-maintenance revolver without modern complexity. The 3.5" barrel and 9mm caliber make it practical for both range time and everyday carry.
