North American Arms .22 WMR 1.63" Revolver with .22 LR Conversion Cylinder
North American Arms
The North American Arms Earl is a compact single-action revolver that brings classic 1860s styling into a genuinely pocketable package. Chambered in both .22 LR and .22 WMR, this five-shot mini-revolver delivers reliable performance in a frame small enough for deep concealment, backup carry, or backpack insurance on a hunt or camping trip. Built from stainless steel, it's designed to handle the rigors of outdoor use without the maintenance burden of blued steel.
At 3 inches, the Earl's barrel strikes a practical balance—short enough to conceal easily, long enough to give you meaningful velocity and a sight radius worth using. The single-action trigger and traditional revolver ergonomics will feel familiar to anyone who's carried a wheelgun, and the ability to chamber both .22 LR and .22 WMR in the same gun adds flexibility for different hunting or shooting scenarios. Whether you need a lightweight trail gun, a truck gun, or a last-ditch defensive backup, the Earl's compact profile and rimfire chambering make it an unconventional but surprisingly functional choice.
Like all NAA mini-revolvers, the Earl uses a half-way cylinder notch that allows the hammer to rest safely between chambers—no need to carry the gun on an empty chamber or worry about accidental discharge from the hammer catching a pocket during carry. The stainless construction ensures this little revolver will hold up through years of adventure without developing rust or corrosion, whether it's riding in a pack, a truck console, or an ankle holster.

Yes. The Earl is chambered to accept both .22 LR and .22 WMR cartridges, giving you the flexibility to use either round depending on your needs—lighter-recoiling .22 LR for target work or small game, or .22 WMR for a bit more velocity and energy.
Yes. Like all NAA mini-revolvers, the Earl features a half-way notch cylinder design that allows the hammer to rest safely and securely between chambers without risk of accidental discharge, so you don't need to carry on an empty chamber.
The Earl's compact size and rimfire chambering make it ideal as a backup or deep-concealment carry gun, a lightweight trail companion for backpacking or camping, or a truck gun. It's not a primary fighting revolver, but it's a genuinely useful option for situations where size and weight matter.
Stainless steel eliminates the need for regular maintenance to prevent rust, which is especially valuable if your mini-revolver spends time in a pack, vehicle, or field conditions where you won't have easy access to cleaning supplies. It's built to last through years of adventure without corrosion.
