The North American Arms Black Widow .22LR revolver is a purpose-built concealed carry and backup gun for shooters who prioritize compact size without sacrificing reliability. This 2-inch barreled mini-revolver chambers .22 Long Rifle ammunition and delivers the time-tested dependability NAA has engineered into its mini-revolver platform for decades. With a 5-shot cylinder, fixed Marble Arms sights, and a heavy vent barrel, the Black Widow trades size for serious function—ideal for deep concealment, ankle carry, or as a last-resort defensive tool when a full-size handgun isn't an option.

Built on NAA's proven mini-revolver frame, the Black Widow combines enhanced stability and accuracy with oversize black rubber grips that provide a secure purchase despite the gun's diminutive footprint. The heavy vent barrel helps manage recoil and muzzle rise, while the fixed low-profile Marble Arms sights keep the gun snag-free and ready to deploy from a pocket or waistband holster. Cerakote coating protects the steel from corrosion and wear—essential for a gun destined to live in a holster, pocket, or pack.

This is not a range toy or novelty; it's a serious backup revolver for experienced shooters who understand the tradeoffs of a small-caliber, small-frame gun. The .22 Long Rifle round is inherently modest in power, but shot placement in a crisis is what matters, and the Black Widow's fixed sights and solid trigger control enable that. Reliability, simplicity, and concealability define the Black Widow's mission.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Black Widow revolver designed for?

The Black Widow is built as a deep-concealment, backup, or defensive revolver. Its compact 2-inch frame and 5-shot capacity make it ideal for pocket carry, ankle holsters, or as a last-resort gun when a larger handgun isn't feasible. It suits experienced shooters who understand small-caliber ballistics and prioritize concealability and reliability.

What ammunition does the Black Widow .22LR revolver use?

.22 Long Rifle cartridges. Do not confuse this with .22 Magnum, which is a different and more powerful round. The Black Widow is chambered and proofed for .22 LR only.

Are the sights adjustable on this model?

No. This version comes with fixed Marble Arms low-profile sights. Fixed sights reduce snag points and are faster to deploy from concealment, though they cannot be adjusted for elevation or windage like adjustable alternatives.

Why does the barrel have venting, and what does it do?

The heavy vent barrel helps reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise, improving the shooter's ability to control the gun and maintain accuracy through multiple shots. This is especially valuable in a small, lightweight revolver where recoil management affects follow-up shot placement.
