The North American Arms Black Widow .22 WMR revolver is a compact single-action mini-revolver built on NAA's proven lightweight frame, purpose-engineered for deep concealment and backup use. With a 2-inch heavy vent barrel, fixed Marble Arms sights, and a 5-shot cylinder, it delivers the ballistic advantage of .22 Magnum in a package weighing just 8.9 ounces—small enough for pocket or ankle carry yet capable enough for defensive situations where a larger firearm isn't practical. The Black Widow is ideal for shooters who value deep-carry reliability and the extended range of rimfire magnum ammunition.

Build quality reflects NAA's long history with mini-revolvers: the heavy vent barrel adds heft for steadier aim and faster sight picture recovery, while the bull cylinder maximizes material strength in a diminutive frame. The oversized rubber grip with Black Widow branding sits naturally in small hands and provides enough purchase for positive control during shooting. Marble Arms fixed low-profile sights are durable and snag-free, designed to coexist with concealment carry methods. Cerakote coating protects against corrosion and wear, ensuring reliability in varied conditions.

At 5.88 inches long and just 1 inch wide, the Black Widow slips into places larger wheelguns cannot. This makes it a natural choice for backup to a primary firearm, a last-resort defense option when concealment takes priority, or a trusted pocket gun for hikers and outdoors folks who want effective protection without bulk. Single-action operation demands a conscious trigger press, which many carriers view as a safety feature. The .22 Magnum round—offered by most ammunition makers—gives genuine stopping capability in a caliber that's still controllable and affordable to practice with.

If you need maximum firepower in minimum package, the Black Widow bridges the gap between true deep-cover carry and actual usable firepower. It's not a primary duty gun, but it's the gun you'll actually have when your primary is inaccessible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Black Widow .22 WMR suitable for defensive carry?

Yes. While it's a backup or deep-concealment option rather than a primary defensive tool, the .22 Magnum round offers genuine stopping power in a package you'll actually carry when larger firearms aren't practical. Single-action operation ensures you make a conscious trigger press every time. It's best suited to shooters who understand its role and limitations.

Can I pocket carry the Black Widow safely?

Its compact dimensions (5.88 inches long, 1 inch wide) and light weight (8.9 ounces) make it pocket-friendly. The fixed Marble Arms sights are low-profile and snag-free. Always use a quality holster or pocket carry method that covers the trigger guard to prevent accidental discharge.

What ammunition does the Black Widow use?

The Black Widow is chambered in .22 Magnum (.22 WMR). This rimfire cartridge is widely available from major ammunition manufacturers and offers better velocity and energy than standard .22 LR, while remaining controllable and relatively affordable to practice with.

What's included with the Black Widow?

The revolver comes with the oversized rubber grip and fixed Marble Arms sights as standard. Check with Bosque Outdoors about any included accessories or documentation.
