The Mossberg 940 Pro 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun with a 28-inch barrel is a versatile, gas-operated field gun built for hunters who want reliable performance across multiple quarry—doves, quail, pheasant, ducks, and upland game. The 940 Pro brings proven Mossberg engineering to the field with a clean-running gas-vent system, corrosion-resistant internals, and a shooter-friendly design that won't wear you out over a long day. The dark walnut furniture gives it a timeless, classic look while the purposeful 28-inch vent-rib barrel handles the full range of shotgun hunting scenarios.

What sets the 940 Pro apart is its focus on fit and function. The adjustable length of pull—ranging from 13 to 14.25 inches—lets you dial in the stock to match your frame and clothing, and the adjustable drop at the comb and cast help you get a proper sight picture without fighting the gun. The self-draining stock keeps internal moisture at bay, a real advantage in wet hunting conditions. The quick-empty magazine release and 4+1 capacity (3-inch chamber) keep you moving without fumbling, while the drilled and tapped receiver is ready if you ever want to mount optics.

The 940 Pro ships with Briley Choke Tubes and a fiber optic front sight (HiViz CompSight FO), so you're ready to hunt straight out of the box. At 47.5 inches overall, it balances pointability with the heft needed to manage recoil. The matte blue finish on the barrel pairs well with walnut and resists wear in the field. Whether you're working a dove pond, pushing through brush for roosters, or timing ducks in the early light, the 940 Pro is a straightforward, honest shotgun that lets you focus on your shooting, not your gear.
