The Mauser M-15 .22LR semi-auto rifle is a nimble, feature-rich small-caliber option built for shooters who want precision and versatility without the recoil. At just 6.71 pounds with a 16.3-inch barrel, this rifle handles like a dream for target work, casual plinking, and training—especially if you're introducing new shooters to rifle fundamentals or sharpening your own marksmanship on a tight budget. The black synthetic furniture gives it a modern tactical aesthetic while keeping things practical and durable in the field or at the range.
What sets the M-15 apart is its thoughtful controls. The ambidextrous manual safety, ambidextrous magazine release, and ambidextrous charging handle mean lefties and righties shoot the same gun equally well—no fumbling, no compromise. The adjustable cheek rest lets you dial in your sight picture without buying a new stock, and the retractable folding stock compresses the overall length for storage, transport, or compact shooting positions. A 10-round magazine ships standard, with 23-round capacity available—plenty for range sessions or small-game outings.
The adjustable flip-up sight gives you a backup aiming solution that's quick and reliable, whether you're running optics or shooting iron-sighted. With an overall length of 38.80 inches and that short barrel, the M-15 is handy for vehicle storage, truck racks, or tight shooting lanes. It's the kind of rifle that rewards you the more you shoot it—smooth, balanced, and genuinely fun to run.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Mauser M-15 .22LR good for teaching new shooters?
Yes. The .22 LR cartridge produces minimal recoil and report, making it ideal for building safe gun-handling habits and marksmanship fundamentals without flinch or fatigue. The ambidextrous controls also mean left-handed shooters have a comfortable, natural experience from day one.
Can I use this rifle left-handed?
Absolutely. The M-15 features an ambidextrous manual safety, ambidextrous magazine release, and ambidextrous charging handle, so southpaws can operate all controls naturally without modification.
What magazines work with the M-15, and what's included?
The rifle ships with one 10-round magazine. Mauser also offers 23-round capacity magazines for this model, allowing you to tailor your magazine setup to your needs.
Does the folding stock affect accuracy or stability?
The retractable folding stock is designed for both transport and shooting use. When extended, it provides a full cheek weld and shoulder position; the adjustable cheek rest lets you fine-tune your sight picture. For precision work, ensure the stock is fully seated and locked before firing.
