The Mauser .22LR Semi-Auto AK Rifle in Black (Model 4070026) brings classic AK ergonomics to a fun, affordable rimfire platform that's perfect for casual shooting, training, and introducing new shooters to tactical-style rifles. Built by Blue Line Global, this semi-auto .22LR rifle splits the difference between a plinker and a practical trainer—you get genuine AK controls and handling without the recoil or ammo cost of a centerfire alternative. The 16.5" barrel keeps it handy for backyard or range work, while the 24-round proprietary magazine means fewer reload breaks during a fun afternoon at the berm.
Handling is tactile and familiar if you've shot AK-pattern rifles: the polymer side-folding stock collapses for transport or tight spaces, and the polymer pistol grip sits at a comfortable angle for shooting and manipulation. The adjustable rear sight pairs with an integral optical sight rail up top, giving you flexibility to mount a red dot, magnifier, or scout-style optic depending on how you want to run it. An M-Lok handguard provides modern attachment points for lights, lasers, or slings without forcing you into proprietary rail systems, and the flash hider helps reduce muzzle signature indoors or in low light.
At 5.51 pounds and 36.49 inches overall, this rifle is lightweight and compact enough to shoulder comfortably for extended shooting sessions. The rimfire caliber keeps ammunition costs low, making this an excellent choice for high-volume training, teaching fundamentals, or just enjoying a day behind the gun without breaking the bank. Whether you're a seasoned shooters looking for a fun, low-recoil alternative or someone stepping into AK-style rifles for the first time, this Mauser delivers familiar ergonomics and modern features in a practical, .22LR package.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this rifle good for training or teaching new shooters?
Yes. The .22LR chambering produces minimal recoil and noise, making it forgiving for beginners while building solid fundamentals. The familiar AK ergonomics let you train muscle memory on controls and handling you'd use with centerfire rifles, but at a fraction of the ammunition cost. It's an ideal training platform if you own or plan to own a larger-caliber AK.
Can I mount an optic on this rifle?
Yes. The integrated optical sight rail on top allows you to mount red dots, magnified scopes, or other optics that accept standard rail attachments. The rifle also includes adjustable rear sights, so you can shoot well without an optic if you prefer iron sights.
Does the stock fold, and why would I want that?
The polymer stock folds to the side, reducing the overall length for transport, storage in a truck or bag, or navigating tight spaces. It's a practical feature for overlanders, hunters in vehicles, or anyone who values compact carry without sacrificing full length when you're actually shooting.
What magazines work with this rifle?
This rifle uses proprietary 24-round magazines designed for this specific model. When shopping for extra magazines, confirm compatibility with the Mauser Model 4070026 to ensure proper fit and feeding.
