The Kriss Vector SDP .40 S&W is a semi-automatic pistol built around the company's proprietary KSV System—a closed-bolt delayed-blowback operating platform designed to manage recoil and keep your sight picture steady through rapid fire. If you're looking for a .40 S&W pistol that prioritizes shootability and control without sacrificing capacity, the Vector SDP delivers a 15-round magazine, a 5.5-inch barrel, and a compact-yet-purposeful frame that works for duty, home defense, or the range.

What sets the Vector SDP apart is its engineering philosophy: Kriss engineered the KSV System to work synergistically with the pistol's frame and controls, resulting in a gun that feels substantially different to shoot than a traditional blowback .40. The combination of the 5.9-pound weight and the recoil management system makes follow-up shots faster and more accurate. The Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish is durable and low-reflective—practical for serious use.

This is a full-featured semi-auto that rewards shooters who value mechanical innovation over trendy aesthetics. Whether you're evaluating it for concealed carry, competitive shooting, or a duty gun, the Vector SDP's reputation rests on what it does when you pull the trigger, not on marketing noise. The advanced metal and polymer composite construction keeps it reliable across hard use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the KSV System and how does it improve the shooting experience?

The KSV System is Kriss's proprietary closed-bolt delayed-blowback operating platform. It's engineered to manage recoil impulse and keep the pistol's sights on target during rapid fire, which translates to faster follow-up shots and less muzzle climb compared to traditional blowback designs.

Is the Kriss Vector SDP suitable for concealed carry?

At 16.75 inches overall and 5.9 pounds unloaded, the Vector SDP is a full-sized semi-auto pistol. Concealed carry is possible but depends on your holster, carry method, and wardrobe. Many shooters prefer it for duty, open carry, or range use.

What's included with the pistol?

The product record specifies the pistol and its 15-round magazine. For a complete list of what's in the box, contact our team directly.

Why choose .40 S&W over 9mm?

The .40 S&W offers a larger bullet and generally higher velocity than 9mm from the same platform. The Vector SDP's KSV System helps manage the .40's recoil, making it a compelling choice for shooters who prioritize terminal performance and controllability together.
