Heritage Manufacturing Settler .22LR 16.5" Barrel, 13-Round Capacity, Classic Heritage Finish
Heritage Mfg
The Heritage Settler 22LR is a lever-action rifle built for shooters who value classic design and straight-forward functionality. With its 20-inch barrel, walnut furniture, and traditional buckhorn sights, this rifle delivers the timeless handling that defines American .22 rifles—perfect for casual plinking, small-game hunting, and introducing new shooters to rifle marksmanship. The 15-round capacity keeps you in action without constant reloading, while the lever action provides smooth, familiar operation that's as reliable as it is enjoyable.
Heritage Mfg engineered the Settler around simplicity and dependability. The aluminum alloy frame features simulated case-hardened finish, and the alloy steel barrel wears a polished black oxide that balances utility with understated aesthetics. Drift-adjustable front sights and adjustable buckhorn rear sights let you dial in your zero for any distance, and the cross-bolt safety keeps things secure in the field or at the bench.
At 37.9 inches overall and just 5.4 pounds unloaded, the Settler handles like a true rifle—not an afterthought. Whether you're zeroing a young shooter on their first rifle, working steel at 50 yards, or taking rabbits and squirrels, this lever gun delivers the accuracy and balance you'd expect from a centerfire rifle in rimfire form. It's the kind of rifle that rewards good technique and reminds you why lever actions have never gone out of style.

Yes. The light recoil of .22 LR, simple lever-action operation, and classic handling make it an excellent choice for introducing shooters of any age to rifle fundamentals. The adjustable sights let you dial in accuracy, and the 15-round capacity keeps the focus on technique rather than frequent reloading.
The adjustable buckhorn rear sight and drift-adjustable front sight are traditional open-sight designs. They work well for typical plinking and hunting distances (25–75 yards) in daylight. For lower-light conditions or extended range work, you may want to consider adding a scope—the Settler is drilled and tapped for optics if needed, though the product record doesn't specify mounting pattern details.
The Settler is chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the most common and affordable rimfire cartridge. It shoots standard velocity, high velocity, and subsonic .22 LR ammunition without modification.
Lever actions offer smooth, fast operation and are inherently reliable. The Settler's lever mechanism is simple to operate and maintain. Compared to bolt guns, you get faster follow-up shots; compared to semi-autos, you get the satisfaction of manual operation and typically fewer moving parts to foul or clean.
