The Heritage Manufacturing Settler Mares Leg is a .22LR lever-action pistol that brings classic cowboy-action fun to the range in an honest, no-nonsense package. With a 12.5-inch barrel and 10-round capacity, this short, handy platform chambered in .22 Long Rifle delivers genuine lever-action mechanics in a format that fits naturally between a handgun and a carbine. It's built for shooters who want tactile, repeating-rifle satisfaction without the size or recoil—perfect for plinking, small-game hunting, or just rediscovering why lever actions remain timeless.

The Settler Mares Leg's aluminum-alloy frame pairs with an alloy-steel barrel finished in polished black oxide, keeping weight down while maintaining durability. The wood furniture gives it traditional character that matches its design intent. At just 67 ounces unloaded and 23.25 inches overall, it's compact enough to stow easily and nimble enough to shoot one-handed if you choose. The cross-bolt safety sits within easy reach, and the buckhorn rear sight with drift-adjustable front sight comes ready to use—no gunsmith visit required.

Because it's chambered in .22LR, ammunition is affordable and widely available, making it an ideal candidate for high-volume range sessions or training fundamentals without flinching. The 1:16 right-hand twist and six grooves support standard .22 Long Rifle velocities. This isn't a tactical platform or a competitive rig; it's a straightforward, mechanical shooter that rewards good technique and delivers reliable function every time you work the lever.
