The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 .223 Wylde 16" SS FDE rifle is a versatile, reliable semi-automatic platform built for shooters who demand accuracy without unnecessary complexity. Chambered in .223 Wylde, it fires both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition, giving you flexibility at the range or in the field. At 6.8 lbs with a 16-inch heavy barrel and 33.25-inch overall length, it strikes a balance between maneuverability and velocity—equally at home for precision work on steel or tactical applications.

This rifle ships with a stainless steel barrel (available in either 416R SS or 4150 CRMOV nitride), a carbine-length gas system with 0.750 gas block, and the flat-top 7075 aluminum upper receiver houses 15.25 inches of full picatinny rail handguard for mounting optics and accessories. The lower is forged 7075 aluminum with a mil-spec trigger breaking at 5.5–6 lbs, paired with a standard polymer grip. Cerakote finish in FDE delivers durability and a clean aesthetic. You get one 30-round magazine, standard M4 feed ramps, and a muzzle brake designed to install wrench-tight without threadlocker.

Sights are not included, so you'll want to mount a red dot, scope, or backup irons to your rail. The rifle is right-side safety only. Whether you're building a precision carbine, running a competition rifle, or establishing a reliable defensive platform, this Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 provides a solid foundation and standard ergonomics that let you focus on shooting well.
