The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 .223 Wylde is a versatile, modern sporting rifle built for shooters who demand accuracy and reliability without compromise. Chambered in .223 Wylde, this 16-inch rifle handles both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition interchangeably—a real advantage on the range or in the field where ammo availability shifts. With a heavy barrel, carbine-length gas system, and a clean, purposeful design, it's equally at home for precision target work, casual plinking, or defensive readiness.

Built on a 7075 aluminum upper and lower receiver, the rifle balances durability with a lightweight 6.8-pound carry weight. The 16-inch barrel comes threaded 1/2 x 28 with a muzzle brake installed, giving you flexibility to swap suppressors or other muzzle devices down the road. You get a full-length aluminum handguard with integrated Picatinny rail real estate—plenty of mounting options for optics, lights, or accessories. The carbine gas block and tube keep things reliable and proven.

This is a no-frills, shootable rifle. Mil-spec trigger (5.5–6 lb pull), mil-spec grip, and M4 feed ramps round out a straightforward platform. Cerakote finish protects the steel and aluminum against the elements. One 30-round magazine ships with the rifle, and the overall length of 33.25 inches makes it nimble without feeling cramped. If you're building a solid do-it-all rifle without paying for unnecessary bells and whistles, the Great Lakes AR-15 .223 Wylde deserves a hard look.
