The Daniel Defense DDM4V7 5.56mm rifle is a purpose-built AR-platform carbine that balances practical features with proven reliability for hunters, sport shooters, and tactical users. This 16-inch barreled rifle combines Daniel Defense's reputation for precision manufacturing with a mid-length gas system tuned for smooth operation and manageable recoil. Whether you're zeroing at the range, hunting medium game, or training for 3-gun competition, the V7 delivers the accuracy and dependability that separates quality builds from mass-produced alternatives.

Built in the USA, the DDM4V7 starts with a cold hammer-forged chrome-moly-vanadium barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate and government profile. The barrel is chrome-lined and hard-coat anodized for durability in harsh conditions. Atop sits a mil-spec upper receiver paired with a lower receiver featuring an enhanced flared magazine well—practical details that matter when you're working under pressure. The mid-length direct impingement gas system uses a pinned low-profile gas block to reduce wear on the bolt carrier group and minimize felt recoil compared to longer systems.

The DDM4V7 ships with Daniel Defense's MFR 15.0 handguard, a slim, CNC-machined aluminum rail that uses M-LOK attachment for accessories—offering seven mounting positions without the bulk of full-length rail systems. The top receiver features an uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny rail for optics and iron sights. The ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle works equally well for southpaws and right-handed shooters. A six-position mil-spec receiver extension, Daniel Defense buttstock, and ergo pistol grip round out the controls. The rifle ships in a DD impact-resistant case and comes with a Daniel Defense magazine.

The DDM4V7 is optimized for 5.56 NATO ammunition and features a 1/2x28 TPI muzzle thread, allowing you to mount a suppressor or other muzzle devices. Its compact 32¼–35⅞-inch length (depending on stock position) and 6.2-pound weight make it handle like a true intermediate carbine—not overly heavy, not too light for precision shooting.
