The Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver in 4.25-inch barrel configuration is an American classic reborn for shooters who demand precision, reliability, and that unmistakable heft that comes from real steel engineering. This isn't a safe-queen replica—it's a modern production Python built for serious wheelgun enthusiasts, target shooters, and hunters who appreciate the ergonomics and accuracy of a true revolver platform. The 4.25-inch barrel strikes the ideal balance between velocity and handling, whether you're working steel targets at distance or carrying for backcountry defense.

Build quality starts with a forged carbon steel frame wearing a polished blued finish, paired with a matte-topped full lug vented rib barrel that reduces sight picture glare and adds structural rigidity. The one-piece barrel features a recessed target crown—precision detail work that matters when you're chasing tight groups. The cylinder is fluted and chambers both .357 Magnum and .38 Special, giving you flexibility in ammo selection and cost, with six round capacity. At 42 ounces unloaded, the Python carries with substance and points naturally thanks to its refined proportions.

The sighting system reflects Colt's design refinement: an adjustable rear target sight with 30% more steel than the original means a more robust platform for elevation and windage dialing, while the front sight is user-interchangeable so you can swap red ramps or fiber optic options to match your shooting style. Walnut target grips with the iconic Colt medallion complete a firearm that handles like an extension of your hand, with a smooth double/single-action trigger tuned for precision work. This is a revolver for shooters who want accuracy, durability, and the satisfaction of American manufacturing done right.
