The Christensen Arms Ranger 18" .22LR rifle is a precision bolt-action rimfire built for shooters who refuse to compromise on accuracy. Built around an aluminum receiver with steel recoil lug insert, this rifle strips away the compromise between lightweight handling and match-grade performance. The Ranger brings Christensen Arms' reputation for precision engineering—including their proprietary carbon fiber tension barrel and composite stock technology—down to an affordable rimfire platform. At 5.1 pounds, it's light enough to carry all day and precise enough to make you a better shot.

The barrel is hand-lapped and chambered in .22 LR with Bentz match-grade dimensions, threaded for suppressor compatibility. The action pairs a precision-machined aluminum receiver with dual opposing locking lugs and dual ejectors, topped with a 0 MOA Picatinny rail ready for your optic. The trigger is a Triggertech Field model in Rem 700 configuration, giving you clean, predictable breaks on demand. Magazine compatibility is broad—the Ranger runs Ruger 10/22 compatible mags, making it simple to keep extras on hand.

The carbon fiber composite rimfire stock delivers a palm swell and ambidextrous grip that works equally well for righties and lefties. Flat forend and sling studs come standard, and there's a palm hook for rifle carry. Black action paired with tan furniture and black webbing gives it a purposeful, field-ready look. Christensen Arms backs every Ranger with a Sub-MOA at 50 yards guarantee—if it doesn't shoot, they'll make it right.

Whether you're dialing in a hunting rifle, building a precision plinker, or adding a dedicated .22 to your safe, the Ranger delivers the accuracy and build quality that made Christensen Arms a name in precision rifles, now in rimfire form.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Ranger 18" a suppressor-ready .22 rifle?

Yes. The barrel comes threaded from the factory, so you can mount a suppressor directly. Thread pitch is included in the specs if you need to verify fit with a specific silencer.

What kind of accuracy can I expect from this .22 LR rifle?

Christensen Arms backs the Ranger with a Sub-MOA at 50 yards guarantee. The hand-lapped barrel, match-grade Bentz chamber, and precision aluminum receiver are designed to deliver that level of consistency. Real-world results will depend on ammunition quality and your setup.

Can I use standard .22 ammunition, or does it require specialty ammo?

The rifle is chambered in standard .22 LR and will fire any commercial .22 LR ammunition. The Bentz match chamber is optimized for precision, so quality match-grade .22 ammo will typically deliver the best results, but you're not locked into any specific brand or type.

What magazines work with the Ranger 18" .22?

The rifle is compatible with Ruger 10/22 magazines. This gives you broad options for spares and aftermarket mag choices in the .22 rimfire market.

Does this rifle come with a scope or rail mounted?

The rifle includes a 0 MOA Picatinny rail, but no optic. You'll need to mount your own scope, red dot, or other aiming system. The rail is pre-mounted and ready to go.
