The Christensen Arms MPR Rimfire in 17HMR is a modern take on serious rimfire accuracy and portability. Built on a precision-machined aluminum receiver with a Rem 700-style action, this 16" bolt-action rifle pairs a carbon fiber tension barrel with a full tactical chassis platform—giving you long-range rimfire capability without the weight penalty. If you've been shooting traditional rimfire stocks and want real adjustability, modularity, and performance, the MPR Rimfire bridges the gap between competition-grade precision and practical field rifle.

The chassis is where this rifle earns its stripes. A 7075 aluminum billet chassis houses a TriggerTech trigger, adjustable length of pull (12.5" to 14.5"), and an FFT carbon fiber handguard with M-LOK for mounting optics, lights, and accessories. The folding stock uses magnetic-locking technology and a positive hinge so the rifle packs down small without rattling loose—ideal if you're hiking to a new shooting spot or stashing this in a pack. Six QD flush-cup mounts let you run slings and gear exactly how you want them. Throw in an adjustable carbon fiber cheek riser, AR-compatible grip, and a V-block bedding system, and you've got a rimfire platform that handles like a centerfire tactical rifle.

The 17HMR cartridge delivers flat-shooting performance and energy that outpaces .22 LR by a meaningful margin, making it genuine medicine for prairie dogs, ground squirrels, and mid-range varmint work. The threaded muzzle (1/2 × 28) accepts suppressors and brakes, the dual extractors and opposing locking lugs ensure reliable function, and the 0-MOA optic rail is ready for your favorite scope. Ruger BX-1 magazine compatibility means ammunition isn't locked to proprietary hardware. Whether you're pursuing precision at distance, competing in rimfire matches, or just want a rimfire that doesn't feel like a toy, the MPR Rimfire is a genuine lightweight, packable platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the MPR Rimfire different from a standard rimfire rifle?

The MPR combines a modern tactical chassis platform with carbon fiber barrel technology and full adjustability. Unlike traditional rimfire stocks, you get a receiver-length optic rail, adjustable length of pull, an adjustable cheek piece, modular M-LOK handguard, and folding capability—treating rimfire with the same precision and modularity you'd expect from a centerfire tactical rifle.

Can I fold this rifle down to pack size?

Yes. The folding stock uses a positive locking hinge with magnetic-lock technology, so it folds down securely for transport or storage without rattling loose. This makes the MPR Rimfire genuinely packable for hiking or vehicle-based shooting trips.

What magazines does the MPR Rimfire accept?

The rifle is compatible with Ruger BX-1 magazines, a widely available and reliable option for 17HMR ammunition.

Is the muzzle threaded?

Yes. The barrel features 1/2 × 28 threading, which accepts standard suppressors, brakes, and other muzzle devices.
