The Christensen Arms MPR Rimfire is a modern precision rifle built around a practical, compact platform engineered for shooters who want serious accuracy without the bulk of a full-sized centerfire. This .22LR bolt-action rifle pairs a carbon fiber tension barrel with a precision-machined aluminum chassis and folding stock—delivering the handling and ergonomics of a high-end tactical rifle in a lightweight package designed to pack into a range bag or backpack. Whether you're zeroing optics, running a rimfire competition, or hunting small game, the MPR Rimfire bridges the gap between a casual plinker and a legitimate training tool.
The heart of the platform is Christensen Arms' carbon fiber barrel, precisely lapped and button rifled with a match chamber and 1/2x28 threaded muzzle—the kind of attention to detail that translates to consistent hits at distance, even in .22. The action is built on a precision-machined aluminum receiver with dual extractors, dual opposing locking lugs, and a TriggerTech trigger (Remington 700-style) paired to a 0-MOA optic rail. It feeds from Ruger BX-1 magazines, a common and reliable platform for rimfire work.
The real game-changer is the chassis. A 7075 aluminum billet design houses a folding stock with locking hinge and MagLock technology, paired with your choice of a 10.5" or 14" FFT carbon fiber handguard featuring full M-LOK coverage. An adjustable FFT carbon fiber cheek riser, adjustable length of pull (12.5–14.5 inches), and six quick-detach flush-cup mounts give you a truly modular shooting platform. V-block bedding keeps the barrel consistent, and the monopod Picatinny mount is ready to support either a bipod or your rucksack on the bench.
If you've been shooting traditional rimfire rifles and wondering what a precision-built platform feels like, or if you're a precision rifle shooter looking for a lightweight trainer or small-game rifle, the MPR Rimfire shows what happens when a manufacturer brings modern materials and engineering to the .22.

Frequently Asked Questions
What optics work with the MPR Rimfire?
The rifle features a 0-MOA Picatinny rail, so any standard Picatinny-mounted optic will fit. Many shooters pair precision rimfire rifles with variable-power scopes for range work or hunting, or red dots for competition and close-range shooting.
Can I attach a suppressor to this rifle?
Yes. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28, the standard rimfire suppressor thread pitch, so you can attach a compatible .22LR suppressor or other muzzle device.
What's the difference between the 10.5" and 14" handguard options?
Both are FFT carbon fiber with full M-LOK coverage. The choice between them affects the overall length and weight of the rifle—the 10.5" option is more compact and packable, while the 14" provides additional rail real estate for mounting accessories. The model number will specify which you have.
Is this rifle suitable for competition shooting?
The MPR Rimfire's precision barrel, quality trigger, modular chassis, and M-LOK accessory mounting make it well-suited to rimfire competition formats. Its compact folding design also allows it to pack down for travel to matches.
What magazines does the MPR Rimfire use?
It feeds Ruger BX-1 magazines, a common and proven rimfire magazine platform widely available and affordable.
