The Christensen Arms MPR Rimfire in .17HMR is a modern precision rimfire rifle built on a chassis platform that combines serious accuracy with packability. This 18-inch bolt-action rifle brings centerfire-style engineering to rimfire hunting and competition shooting—carbon fiber tension barrel, precision-machined aluminum receiver, and a TriggerTech trigger that rival much more expensive centerfire platforms. If you're after a lightweight, modular rimfire that folds down for backcountry hunts or performs at distance on the range, the MPR Rimfire delivers features and capability that set it apart from traditional wood-stocked rimfire guns.

The heart of the rifle is Christensen's carbon fiber tension barrel, precision lapped and button rifled with a match chamber and 1/2×28 threaded muzzle. That barrel is married to a dual-extractor, dual-locking-lug aluminum receiver with a 0-MOA optic rail—built for scope mounting without hunting for shims. The TriggerTech trigger is Remington 700 compatible and breaks clean, giving you the precision expected from a rifle engineered this way. Feed is handled by Ruger BX-1 magazines, a proven standard.

The chassis is where the MPR really flexes. A 7075 aluminum billet frame pairs with an FFT carbon fiber handguard (your choice of 10.5" or 14"), M-LOK slots for mounting accessories, and six QD flush-cup mounts so you can attach slings and gear fast. The folding stock locks via Magnelock technology and lets you collapse the rifle for a pack or vehicle. You get an adjustable carbon fiber cheek riser, adjustable length of pull between 12.5 and 14.5 inches, and monopod Picatinny rail compatibility. V-block bedding ensures the action stays put shot after shot, and the AR-compatible grip means muscle memory carries over if you run ARs elsewhere in your safe.

Build it modular, shoot it accurately, pack it light—that's the MPR Rimfire philosophy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What magazine does the Christensen Arms MPR Rimfire use?

The MPR Rimfire ships with Ruger BX-1 magazine compatibility, a standard and widely available format for .17 HMR rifles.

Can you fold this rifle down for backpack carry?

Yes. The stock folds via a locking hinge with Magnelock technology, allowing the rifle to compress into a more packable profile for backcountry hunts or vehicle storage.

What comes with the rifle for scope mounting?

The receiver has a 0-MOA optic rail integrated directly onto the aluminum receiver, so you can mount a scope without shims. The rail is Picatinny-standard.

Can you mount a suppressor on the .17 HMR muzzle?

The barrel has a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle, the standard thread pitch for .17 HMR, so threaded suppressors and muzzle devices are compatible.

Is the cheek riser adjustable for different scope heights?

Yes. The FFT carbon fiber cheek riser is adjustable to help you dial in the proper cheek weld and sight picture for your optic setup.

What is the adjustable length of pull range?

The stock allows you to adjust length of pull between 12.5 and 14.5 inches, accommodating different shooter builds and clothing layers.
