The Christensen Arms Mesa FFT .308 carbon rifle is built for backcountry hunters who refuse to compromise on accuracy for the sake of weight. This featherweight contender starts at just 5.5 pounds, making it genuinely practical for long mountain hunts where every ounce counts. The Mesa FFT combines a stainless steel ultralight-contour barrel with a carbon fiber sporter-style stock, all backed by Christensen Arms' Sub-MOA accuracy guarantee—proof that lightweight doesn't mean second-rate performance.
The barreled action is a no-nonsense setup for serious field work. A hand-lapped, button-rifled 416R stainless barrel with featherweight contour feeds a standard Rem 700–compatible action housing a TriggerTech trigger and billet aluminum bottom metal. The 4-round internal magazine (3 rounds for magnum cartridges) keeps things simple and reliable. A removable radial muzzle brake threads on with your choice of 1/2–28 or 5/8–24 pitch, and the action features a skeletonized bolt handle and enlarged ejection port for smooth, fast cycling in the field.
Where the Mesa FFT really stands out is the execution of details. Stainless steel bedding pillars anchor the carbon fiber stock for consistency, and the burnt bronze Cerakote finish on the action pairs with a green-and-black-tan laminate stock that looks as tough as it is durable. The removable recoil pad handles the .308's snap without fuss. This is a rifle built for hunters who hike hard, shoot straight, and expect their gear to earn its place in the pack.
