416 Stainless Steel Button-Rifled, Free-Floating

The Christensen Arms Mesa FFT in .300 PRC is a purpose-built backcountry bolt-action rifle engineered for hunters who cover serious ground. With a featherweight stainless steel barrel and carbon fiber stock, this rifle starts at just 5.5 pounds—light enough to make a difference on long mountain approaches without sacrificing the power needed for elk and other large game. The .300 PRC cartridge delivers modern long-range performance in a platform that won't exhaust you before you reach the hunting grounds.

Build quality is Christensen Arms' signature strength here. The 416R stainless barrel is hand-lapped and button-rifled, paired with match-chamber precision and a removable radial muzzle brake (threaded 1/2–28 or 5/8–24) finished in either Tungsten or Burnt Bronze Cerakote. The action is a skeletonized Rem 700 platform with an improved bolt release, enlarged ejection port, and a smooth Trigger Tech trigger. Billet aluminum bottom metal with a hinged floor plate supports the internal 4-round magazine (3-round for magnum cartridges). Stainless steel bedding pillars and spot bedding in the FFT carbon fiber stock ensure consistency, backed by Christensen Arms' Sub-MOA Guarantee.

This configuration—light, dependable, and finished in Tungsten Cerakote with a black stock and gray accents—is practical for serious hunters who won't compromise on reliability or pack weight. Whether you're glassing from a ridge or making the hike back out, the Mesa FFT handles like a tool designed for real work.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Mesa FFT lighter than other .300 PRC rifles?

The combination of a featherweight stainless barrel contour, skeletonized bolt handle, and carbon fiber stock keeps the rifle to a starting weight of 5.5 pounds—a significant advantage for backcountry hunting where every ounce matters over long distances.

Is this rifle compatible with standard Rem 700 scope bases and rings?

Yes. The action uses a standard Rem 700 optics base, so you can mount any Rem 700–compatible scope mounting system.

What's included with the rifle, and is the muzzle brake removable?

The rifle ships with the seamless radial muzzle brake installed and removable. The brake is threaded 1/2–28 or 5/8–24, depending on configuration, so you can take it off or replace it as needed.

What does the Sub-MOA Guarantee mean?

Christensen Arms backs the Mesa FFT with their Sub-MOA Guarantee, which ensures the rifle's accuracy meets their standards. Refer to Christensen Arms' warranty documentation for full details and terms.
