The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed Carbon Fiber SR in 6.8 Western is a modern hunting rifle built for shooters who demand precision, lightweight handling, and the flexibility to run suppressors. Browning engineered this rifle from the ground up with a redesigned receiver and spiral-fluted bolt that cycles faster and smoother than the original X-Bolt, while the carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless steel barrel keeps weight down without sacrificing rigidity or accuracy. The 24-inch barrel wears a threaded 5/8-24 muzzle ready for mounting a suppressor—a Recoil Hawg thread protector ships with the rifle—and the factory muzzle brake is designed to manage recoil for faster, more confident follow-up shots.
Accuracy and fit are engineered in. The action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws, and the barrel is free-floated to support tight groups. Browning's new Vari-Tech composite stock isn't just tough; it adjusts for length of pull, comb height, and grip angle, so the rifle adapts to your body, not the other way around. The OVIX camouflage finish and Smoked Bronze Cerakote complement the tactical profile, and the Inflex Recoil Pad absorbs punishment. A patent-pending adjustable DLX trigger is tuned to hunting weights, and the short 60-degree bolt lift clears large optics without fuss. The top-tang safety and bolt unlock button work together for reliable chamber checking and unloading.
The 6.8 Western cartridge balances power and shootability in a short-action package, making it effective for hunting medium to larger game without excessive recoil or barrel length. Whether you're setting up a precision rifle for open country or building a suppressor-ready platform, the X-Bolt 2 Speed Carbon Fiber SR delivers the ergonomics, adjustability, and accuracy tools serious hunters expect.
