The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed LR in 7mm PRC is a long-range hunting rifle built from the ground up for serious accuracy at distance. This isn't a tweaked carryover—it's a complete redesign of Browning's proven X-Bolt action, paired with a 26-inch fluted sporter-weight barrel, adjustable composite stock, and a radial muzzle brake that's ready for suppressor threading. If you're hunting open country or setting up for extended-range shooting, the X-Bolt 2 combines the precision you need with the ergonomics and adjustability to fit your body and your style.

The composite Vari-Tech stock is where personalization begins. Length of pull, comb height, and grip angle are all adjustable, and you get both sporter and vertical grip options with black overmolded surfaces for secure handling in any condition. That means one rifle can fit different shooters or adapt as you layer up for a cold hunt. The Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish handles weather better than traditional bluing, and the OVIX camouflage pattern breaks up your outline in diverse terrain.

Under the hood, Browning redesigned the receiver and bolt to smooth operation. The spiral-fluted bolt has an extended handle and new ergonomic knob shape—fast 60-degree lift that clears large optics without binding. The barrel is free-floated and bedded at the recoil lug for stability, and the action uses a patent-pending adjustable DLX trigger set to hunting weights. A Bolt Unlock Button works with the top-tang safety for an extra layer of security when checking or unloading. The aluminum Picatinny rail accepts a bipod for range or field shooting, and the 1-1/4-inch Inflex Recoil Pad soaks up the 7mm PRC's kick.

The belled muzzle accepts standard suppressor-ready threading, and the X-Lock Scope Mounting System uses four screws per base so your glass won't shift. This is a rifle built to shoot accurately and stay in your hands without fuss—exactly what a 7mm PRC shooter needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the X-Bolt 2 Speed LR ready for a suppressor?

Yes. The barrel has a belled muzzle design that allows for standard suppressor-ready threading to be added. The radial muzzle brake is also included, so you can shoot brake or transition to a suppressor when you're ready.

Can I adjust the stock to fit different shooters?

Absolutely. The Vari-Tech composite stock is adjustable for length of pull, comb height, and grip angle. You also get both sporter and vertical grip options, so you can tailor the rifle's fit to your body or swap grips depending on how you're hunting or shooting.

What optics will this rifle work with, and how is it mounted?

The X-Lock Scope Mounting System uses four screws per base for a rock-solid attachment to the receiver. The 60-degree bolt lift is designed to clear large optics without binding, so you have plenty of flexibility in glass choice for long-range work.

How does the trigger work?

The X-Bolt 2 uses a patent-pending adjustable DLX trigger that's set to hunting weights from the factory. It's user-adjustable, so you can fine-tune it to your preference.

What makes the X-Bolt 2 action smoother than the original?

Browning redesigned the receiver with additional bolt guidance surface area and created a new spiral-fluted bolt with an extended handle and ergonomic knob shape. The 60-degree lift is fast and smooth, and the action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws for stability while allowing the barrel to float freely for better accuracy.
