The Browning X-Bolt 2 in 6.5 PRC is a precision long-range rifle built for hunters and shooters who demand accuracy without compromise. This Speed LR model pairs a 26-inch fluted sporter-weight barrel with a redesigned action and adjustable stock to deliver the kind of performance that made the X-Bolt line a benchmark in the hunting world. The 6.5 PRC cartridge has earned its reputation for flat trajectory and energy retention at distance, making this setup ideal for open-country hunting where longer shots are part of the game.
What sets this rifle apart is the attention to fit and adaptability. The new Vari-Tech composite stock lets you dial in length of pull, comb height, and grip angle to match your build and shooting style—no gunsmith visit required. The OVIX camouflage finish blends form and function, while the Smoked Bronze Cerakote receiver and barrel protect against the elements better than traditional finishes. The belled muzzle opening is threaded and suppressor-ready, a practical touch for hunters who run cans or plan to add one later.
The action itself has been refined with a new receiver geometry that improves bolt guidance and smoothness. The redesigned spiral-fluted bolt cycles fast with a 60-degree lift, and the extended bolt handle clears modern optics without interference. A patent-pending adjustable DLX trigger comes factory-set to hunting weights. The barrel is free-floated and bedded at the recoil lug and action screws for the kind of stability that translates to tight groups. An aluminum Picatinny rail under the receiver accepts a bipod for shooting off bags, and the X-Lock scope mounting system uses four screws per base to lock rings down solid. The 1-1/4-inch Inflex recoil pad helps manage the 6.5 PRC's moderate recoil, and the top-tang safety is easy to reach and intuitive. This is a rifle built to shoot.
