The Browning Maxus II is a gas-operated autoloading 12-gauge shotgun built to handle the demands of serious waterfowlers and upland hunters. This 3½-inch magnum shotgun pairs reliable semi-auto function with a suite of comfort and control upgrades that make it equally at home in the marsh or the field. The Maxus II comes dressed in full Realtree Max-7 camouflage and ships with three extended Invector-Plus choke tubes, giving you flexibility across different hunting scenarios right out of the box.
Recoil management and shooting comfort get real attention here. The SoftFlex cheek pad molds to your face for a consistent, forgiving mount, while the Inflex recoil pad absorbs punishment during a long day of shooting. The composite stock is shim-adjustable for cast and length of pull, and you can trim it to fit your frame exactly. Rubber overmolding on the stock and foregrip keeps your purchase sure in wet conditions—critical when you're working birds in rain or snow. Oversized bolt release and bolt handle reduce fumbling during critical moments, and a ramped trigger guard speeds up loading when the action is hot.
Under the hood, durability and reliability take precedence. A nickel-teflon coating protects the bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, bolt release, and bolt handle from corrosion and adds slickness to the action. The chrome-lined chamber and bore resist rust and extend barrel life. A lightweight magazine tube keeps overall weight down without sacrificing capacity. A fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead let you track your sight picture in low light. An ABS hard case is included for safe transport and storage.
The Maxus II represents Browning's answer to hunters and shooters who demand a modern autoloader that absorbs recoil, adapts to fit, and runs clean in tough conditions.
