The Browning Maxus II All-Purpose Hunter is a reliable gas-operated semi-auto shotgun built for serious upland, waterfowl, and turkey hunters who want versatility without compromise. This 12-gauge 26" model comes finished in Mossy Oak Bottomland, a durable camo pattern that blends equally well in marsh, field, or timber. The Maxus II delivers the kind of dependability hunters expect from Browning—a proven platform refined with features that make a real difference in the field, from fast bird flushing to long mornings in a blind.

Comfort and control matter when you're in the field all day. The composite stock features a SoftFlex cheek pad that reduces felt recoil and keeps your face comfortable behind the gun, while the Inflex Recoil Pad handles the back end of the equation. Oversized bolt release and bolt handle speed up reloads and function smoothly even when you're wearing gloves. A ramped trigger guard makes feeding shells intuitive, and rubber overmolding on the stock and forearm locks your grip in rain, mud, or snow. The shim-adjustable stock lets you dial in cast, drop, and length of pull—you can even trim it to fit exactly right.

The 26" barrel is threaded for Invector-Plus chokes, and you get an Extended X-Full Turkey choke plus three extended chokes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) to adapt to whatever bird and distance you're hunting. A removable Picatinny rail on the receiver supports optics if you want them, and the drilled and tapped receiver accepts an optics base. Fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead help you track targets in low light. Chrome chamber and bore resist corrosion, and the Nickel Teflon coating on the bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, and bolt handle adds durability and smooth operation. An ABS hard case is included, along with a lightweight magazine tube and screw-on cap.

We only ship firearms to valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holders. At checkout we provide a FFL locator for your convenience.

We will need a copy of the FFL’s license to facilitate the process, kindly request your dealer to email us a copy of their FFL, as we cannot dispatch the firearm until we receive this document. It is imperative for the buyer to choose their FFL dealer, ensure they are willing to facilitate the transfer, and have them email their FFL copy to BOSQUE Outdoors. To avoid any confusion, the customer's name or order number must be mentioned in the email containing the FFL.

  • Prior to placing an order, it is the buyer's responsibility to understand and adhere to their state's firearm regulations.
  • The buyer should verify with their receiving dealer that the chosen firearm is legally permissible in their state.
  • The buyer is accountable for any transfer fees or background check charges imposed by the receiving dealer. If the designated dealer declines to accept the firearm delivery, the buyer assumes responsibility for shipping costs to retrieve the firearm and resend it to an accommodating dealer.
  • Handguns will be shipped using air transportation, while long guns can be shipped using ground methods. If your order includes a mix of firearm and non-firearm items, BOSQUE Outdoors will send the firearm(s) to your selected FFL dealer and the remaining non-firearm items to your billing address.
  • Firearms cannot be returned to BOSQUE Outdoors; please contact the manufacturer for warranty claims.
  • Firearms refused by the FFL Dealer or which cannot be transferred due to a failed background check are subject to a $75 restocking fee plus 10% of the purchase price.
