The Browning Citori 725 Trap Max is a 12-gauge shotgun purpose-built for competitive and recreational trap shooting. With a 32-inch barrel, adjustable rib system, and a suite of ergonomic controls designed to dial in your sight picture, this over-under delivers the precision and comfort serious trap shooters demand. The walnut furniture, adjustable comb, and recoil management system make it equally suited to long days at the range or tournament competition.

What sets the 725 Trap Max apart is its focus on fit and sight alignment—two things that matter more in trap than in almost any other shooting discipline. The adjustable Monte Carlo comb and Graco butt pad let you customize length of pull and cheek weld, while the rib can be adjusted from a 50/50 point of impact to 90/10, giving you control over where your shot pattern goes. The included HiViz Pro Comp sight and ivory mid-bead are bright, fast to acquire, and built for the consistency trap demands. Five extended Midas Grade choke tubes (Full, Light Full, Improved Modified, Improved Modified, and Modified) come in the box, covering the spreads and distances you'll encounter.

Recoil management is handled by a Pachmayr Decelerator XLT pad backed by an adjustable GraCoil system, so you can stay comfortable through a tournament round or a practice session. The Grade V/VI walnut stock and semi-beavertail forearm with finger grooves feel solid and balanced, finished in gloss to highlight the wood. At 9 pounds 2 ounces and chambered for 2¾-inch shells, it's built to last and built to break targets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Citori 725 Trap Max good for beginner trap shooters?

Yes. While it's built to tournament spec, the adjustable comb and rib system make it easier to dial in the correct sight picture—something that benefits shooters at any level. If you're serious about trap, this gun gives you the tools to improve your form without fighting the gun.

What choke tubes come with this shotgun?

Five extended Midas Grade choke tubes are included: Full, Light Full, Improved Modified (twice), and Modified. These cover the standard trap distances and shot breaks, so you can pattern and select based on your target depth and technique.

Can I adjust the length of pull and recoil pad angle?

Yes. The Graco butt pad adjusts for both angle and location, and the adjustable GraCoil system includes a length-of-pull adjustment, so you can customize fit to your frame and shooting style.

Is this shotgun suitable for hunting or only trap?

This is a trap-specific gun. The 32-inch barrel, adjustable comb, and competition rig make it purpose-built for clay targets rather than field or waterfowl hunting.
