The Browning Citori Hunter is a classic over-and-under shotgun built for hunters who demand reliable performance in the field. This 12-gauge, 3-inch chambered model pairs traditional shotgun handling with Browning's proven mechanics—a combination that's earned the Citori its reputation as one of the most dependable dual-barrel shotguns in the US. The 26-inch barrels strike a practical balance between swing speed and sight picture, making it at home in tight brush or open country. Whether you're after upland birds, waterfowl, or clays, the Citori Hunter delivers the versatility serious shooters expect.

The receiver features gloss-finished metalwork accented with gold enhancement, giving the gun a purposeful, refined appearance without unnecessary flash. The stock is Grade I American walnut with a satin finish—responsive wood that feels right in your hands and develops character with use. Recoil management comes courtesy of an Inflex recoil pad, which matters when you're running multiple rounds through the gun. Up front, a silver bead sight keeps your eye on target.

Field-ready out of the box, the Hunter comes with three flush choke tubes (Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder), letting you adjust your shot pattern to match your quarry and conditions. The flush-fitting design keeps the barrels clean and snag-free. This is a workhorse shotgun—no complicated systems, no unnecessary weight, just a time-tested design that handles the way hunters expect an over-and-under to handle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What choke tubes come with the Citori Hunter, and can I use other aftermarket tubes?

The Hunter includes three flush choke tubes: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. These cover most hunting and clay shooting scenarios. The gun accepts standard flush-fit choke tubes, so you can add or swap tubes to match specific conditions if needed.

Is the Citori Hunter suitable for both hunting and clay shooting?

Yes. The 50/50 point of impact and 26-inch barrels make it equally at home in the field pursuing game birds or breaking clays on the range. The included choke tube selection supports both applications.

How does the Inflex recoil pad help during a day of hunting?

The Inflex recoil pad is designed to absorb and distribute recoil more effectively than a standard pad, reducing felt impact when firing. On a long day in the field or during an extended shooting session, this translates to less fatigue and better follow-up shot control.

What does the 26-inch barrel length offer compared to longer or shorter barrels?

The 26-inch barrels provide a balance between maneuverability in tight cover and enough sight radius for accurate shooting. This makes the Citori Hunter versatile across varied terrain without feeling muzzle-heavy or sluggish to swing.
