The Browning A5 Lightning 12Ga 3 28 Ds is a modern autoloading shotgun built for hunters and clay shooters who want reliable performance without sacrificing handling or style. This 12-gauge semi-automatic pairs the proven A5 action with the Lightning's classic profile—a sleek, rounded-grip stock in Turkish walnut with a gloss finish that looks as good in the blind as it does at the range. The 28-inch barrel strikes the balance most shooters prefer for upland, waterfowl, and sporting clays, while the 3-inch chamber handles the full spectrum of factory loads.

The A5 platform is known for its low-recoil operation, and this model lives up to that reputation. The Inflex II recoil pad absorbs punishment so you can shoot more comfortably, and the Kinematic Drive system cycles reliably across light and heavy loads—a real advantage if you're mixing ammunition. The receiver wears a gloss black anodized finish, and you'll find a fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead for quick target acquisition in varying light. The Lightning stock is shim-adjustable for length of pull, cast, and drop, so you can dial in fit whether you're slinging it across your chest or shouldering it at a trap range.

Three Invector-DS choke tubes come in the box, giving you the flexibility to tighten or open up patterns for different game and distances. The barrel features back-bored technology and a lengthened forcing cone to reduce felt recoil and improve shot patterns. Speed Load Plus makes reloading fast, and the TurnKey magazine plug makes field transitions between waterfowl and upland seasons quick. The nickel-teflon coating on internal parts resists corrosion even in wet conditions.

Whether you're after roosters over stubble, ducks over decoys, or targets on the clay course, the A5 Lightning delivers the handling, reliability, and balance that made the A5 name trusted by generations of shotgun shooters.
